Power supply expert Lambda has added new, competitively priced 300-watt models to its popular PFE range of AC-DC low-profile full-brick power supplies. Like the existing 500-watt and 700-watt models in the range, the new 300-watt versions provide a convenient and compact all-in-one solution for applications that would previously have required the use of a full size brick AC to HVDC front-end module and a separate full-brick DC- DC converter.
Lambda's new 300-watt PFE power supplies are available with fully regulated 12V, 28V and 48V DC nominal outputs, that can be adjusted by ±20% to allow an exact match with the requirements of the application. All versions have a wide-range AC input that allows operation from any voltage between 85V and 265V at 47 to 63Hz, and active power factor correction is incorporated as standard.

Designed to give long reliable service in even the most demanding of environments, the new PFE-series 300-watt power supplies can operate at baseplate temperatures up to 100ºC with no derating required. This feature, combined with the high efficiency of the units, which exceeds 83% in all versions, greatly simplifies the thermal design of the equipment in which they are used.

To safeguard the power supplies and their loads under adverse operating conditions, all models in the PFE range incorporate over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection. The have input-to-output isolation rated at 3000V AC, and are safety approved to UL60950-1 and EN60950-1. All models are RoHS compliant and carry the CE mark.

Measuring a diminutive 117 x 61 x 13mm, Lambda’s PFE series power supplies, which can be cooled with a cold plate or with an optional heatsink are a cost-effective and easy-to-use option for a wide range of applications in industry, data communications and telecommunications.
