At electronica in Munich (November 13-17), iC-Haus will present the new IO-Link Slave Transceiver iC-GFP. The iC-GFP features two independent, COM3-compliant channels with a feedback channel each. The configuration of the iC is accomplished via SPI.

The output switches can be configured for push-pull, high-side, or low-side operation.

The pins on the 24V line side of the sensor interface are protected against reverse polarity. This makes any external reverse polarity protection diodes superfluous.

An integrated switching converter with two downstream linear regulators generates a 5/3.3/2.5/1.8 V and a 3.3 V voltage for sensor supply.

The power supply range is from 4.5 to 36V within a temperature range of -40 to 85 °C.

Additionally a temperature sensor is implemented which can be read via SPI.

The QFN24 package is RoHS compliant and measures only 4 mm x 4 mm.
