Claimed to be the industry’s highest insulation voltage optocouplers, the 5A gate drive ACNT-H343 optocoupler is from Broadcom.

The addition to the ACNT family features more than 100kV/µs of high noise immunity and three times faster propagation delay than the previous generation. The optocoupler can be used in driving IGBT and power MOSFET for applications such as the emerging 690VAC motor drives or 1500V solar inverter. The family of optocouplers has the industry’s highest rated peak working voltage (VIORM) of 2,262V peak in a compact 15mm stretched SO8 package, says the company, enabling high voltage insulation and protection in space-constrained applications. There are five models in the family, the ACNT-H343 joins the ACNT-H870/H87A/H87B, voltage sensor optocouplers, ACNT-H790/H79A/H79B, current sensor optocouplers, the ACNT-H61L, 10MBd low power digital and the ACNT-H50L/H511, 1MBd analogue optocouplers.

All models have IEC, UL and CAS safety approvals.

Samples and production quantities are available now through direct sales channel and via worldwide distribution partners.
