Front-end solution for 802.11ac applications
It has been announced that the SKY85716-11, a fully-integrated five gigahertz 802.11ac front-end solution that supports connectivity for nominal power applications including access points, routers and gateways, has been introduced by Skyworks, specialist in innovative wireless networking solutions.
This high performance WiFi product incorporates an SPDT transmit/receive switch, LNA with bypass and a power amplifier. It also includes an enable/disable function that allows for power savings during off mode.
Because the SKY85716-11 occupies minimal board space, the solution is ideal for high-stream-count designs, compact devices an emerging wireless mesh networks when combined with modem reference designs.
