Suitable for quadrupole and ion trap mass spectrometers using electron multiplier or photomultiplier detectors, the new DC range is available from the company’s Brandenburg division.
The modular design can be configured with one to three outputs of up to ± 15 kV, which can be programmed remotely. Polarity switching is a fast 10 ms (at ± 5 kV).
The use of Dynamic Control technology within the output stages ensures fast and accurate settling after polarity change, with minimal overshoot.
Output is highly stable, with ripple of 500ppm p/p and drift (after 1 hour warm up) of less than 0.01% per hour. The modules provide true zero volt crossing and full linear control, and include a voltage and current monitor. They are flashover and short circuit protected.
The new DC series complements the Brandenburg SC range of fast polarity switching power supplies designed for source mass spectrometer applications.
