The units are approved to the 3rd edition of EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1, and IEC 60601-1 medical standards, which includes risk management and are also approved to EN/UL/IEC 60950-1 2nd edition standards. The agency approvals include EN 60601-1:2006, IEC 60601-1:2005 and IEC 60950-1:2005 by VDE, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1: 2005 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1:08 by UL. The power supplies have DC output voltages and maximum loads of +3.3V/16.0A, +5V/18.0A, +12V1/16.0A, +12V2/16.0A, -12V/0.5A, -5V/0.2A, +5Vsb/2.5A. Maximum loads for +3.3V/+5V/+12V1/+12V2 are 231W, 281W, and 331W for the 250W, 300W, and 350W models, respectively. The series is 80 PLUS Bronze certified, with an active efficiency of 80% minimum at full load.
Measured at 7.48” x 3.94” x 1.59”, the power supplies come with an on/off switch, a thermally controlled low noise ball-bearing fan, and are furnished with a standard output cableset, which includes the 20+4 pins ATX motherboard connector, 4-pin or 8-pin +12V CPU connectors, SATA drive connectors, etc. that can meet the requirements of most PC-related applications. Alternatively, custom cablesets can be ordered as requested by the customer.
With a 90-264 VAC universal input and active PFC, all models comply with EN61000-3-2 standards. The units meet ATX12V & EPS1U 2.0 standards and are CE marked, RoHS compliant. In addition, the power supplies meet EN60601-1-2 EMC standards, including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11. Before delivery, the power supplies have passed 100% Burn-in test @ 50°C and 100% Hi-Pot test. Depending on the model, the calculated MTBF at full load ranges between 135K hours and 198K hours at 25°C ambient, per MIL-HDBK-217F. The earth leakage current at 264 VAC is 160µA typically.
The units feature dual input line fuses, 2 x MOPP (means of patient protection), output overvoltage, overload and short circuit protections. Overload protection is 150% maximum of the rated output. Hold up time is 17 milliseconds minimum at full load, nominal input voltage and power fail signal delay time is 1 millisecond minimum. The power supplies operate between 0°C to +50°C and can be stored at -20°C to +80°C.
