Local or remote sensing can be selected by front-panel switches, the latter providing perfect regulation and accurate metering at the load regardlesss of connection lead lengths
The EX354RD uses mixed-mode regulation incorporating linear final regulation to give low output noise and good transient response. The outputs can operate in constant-voltage or constant-current mode with automatic crossover.
The new power supply incorporates the latest TTi safety binding post terminals. These will accept 4 mm fixed shroud plugs: a mandatory safety requirement for an increasing number of organisations – but can also accept fork connectors or bare wires, giving maximum flexibility.
Unlike most other bench power supplies of this power level, the EX354RD is silent in operation because it uses convection cooling throughout. It is highly compact, measuring 260 x 160 x 320 mm (10.2 inches wide x 6.3 inches high x 12.6 inches deep), and weighs only 4.3 kg (9.5 lb).
