The RRC DR Chargers are designed to handle any of the off-the-shelf DR-style / 202-style SM-Bus batteries. The DR chargers are suitable for use with DR15s, DR35s & DR201s (or similar) standard form factor smart batteries.
Equipped with a microchip, smart batteries are able to communicate with the charger and user alike. This battery-controlled charging method makes sense when considering that some packs share the same footprint but contain different chemistries, requiring alternative charge algorithms.
