Traco Power has released the TIB family of DIN-rail power supplies that are claimed to feature industry-leading efficiencies up to 94.5%.

This new generation of DIN-rail power supplies combines efficient circuit topology with optimised cost/performance ratio for industrial environments and control cabinets.
They are described as the new vanguard of industrial DIN-rail power supplies by substantially reducing power losses. Their efficiency enables a slimmer package design with a DIN-rail clip that can be mounted on either the rear of the power supply, or the side, for flat panel installation, with DC-OK LED indicators on both the front and side panels.
The reduced heat dissipation enables a -20 to +60°C full load operating temperature range and up to 70°C with only 20% de-rating. The supplies offer 150% boost power for a minimum of four seconds to support stepper motors, solenoids or actuators with power-back immunity (no voltage over/under shoot). EMC immunity makes the power supplies suitable for applications in industrial environments (EN 61000-6-2) with emissions compliant with the standard for residential and commercial environments (EN 61000-6-3).
The outputs are radio-interference-suppressed to impede radiation at long output lines. This filter reduces the common mode current to within limits of telecommunications ports. The units operate with a high power factor of up to 99% with active power factor correction (PFC) which also minimises input inrush current.
The DIN-rail power supplies are offered in four power ranges of 80, 120, 240 or 480W with 24V DC outputs (adjustable from 23.5 to 28V DC).
All models are safety approved to meet UL/EN60950-1 and UL508 listed with compliance to EN61000-6-2 and EN61000-6-3 EMC Standards. They are covered with the company's three-year product warranty.
