Dengrove have expanded their product portfolio to include a broad range of DC/DC Converters embodying the characteristically high isolation voltage and extremely small footprint demanded by applications in medical instrumentation.
Representative samples from this innovative product range include the Recom RP-Series DC/DC Converter, which features an isolation voltage of 5.2kVdc/1 second; models RxxPxx and RxxP2xx, offering 5.2kVdc/1 minute which corresponds to about 6.5kVdc/1 second; and the RV-xxxx, which has an isolation voltage of 6kVdc/1 second. Each includes a unique, Recom-developed two-chamber transformer which, in departing from traditional methods of winding isolation, enables the Converter to be housed in a highly compact casing. Moreover, the very design of the transformer means that the coupling capacitance between input and output, a parasitic feature of all transformers, is reduced to a mere 4pF, further increasing performance.

Together, the Recom families of Medical Grade DC/DC Converters present what is probably the broadest range of options and performance features available from a single source. These include isolation voltages ranging from 3kVdc to 6kVdc; operational efficiencies of 97%; manufacture to EN, UL and TS standards; SIP, DIL and SMT case styles; pin and function compatibility with existing linear regulators.
