The two devices have identical electrical specifications – the primary difference between them being that the HMC-C037 features an integrated heat sink for ease of use in a lab environment, whereas the HMC-C036 is supplied in a miniature hermetic module, which allows customers the flexibility to specify a mechanical interface to suit the requirements of their own particular system.
These power amplifiers typically deliver flat 12dB gain up to 12GHz, up to +37dBm output IP3 and up to +28dBm of output power at 1dB compression. Gain flatness is excellent at
+/-0.3dB from 2 to 15GHz, and the saturated output power is 0.5W up to 15GHz.
Both devices feature integrated voltage regulators to allow for flexible biasing of both the negative and positive supply pins, while the internal bias sequencing circuitry assures robust operation. Operating temperature range is specified as 0 to +85degC.
