The new DC/DC converter series REC15E-Z from RECOM comprises fully specified 15W devices with wide input voltage ranges. They increase flexibility by accepting several standard bus voltages. Due to their compact footprint of one inch by one inch, the converters are suitable for cost sensitive applications where board space is at a premium.

Without minimum load and with 1600VDC isolation and output currents up to four amps, the converters show high efficiency of up to 90% and low ripple/noise.

The wide 4:1 input voltage ranges accept nine to 36V or 18-75V to cover multiple supply options such as lead-acid or lithium batteries or 12/24/36/48V industrial bus voltages. The inputs are protected against transients of up to 1,00V. They feature undervoltage lock out (UVLO) to protect batteries from being over-discharged. The single or dual outputs are continuously protected against short circuits and overload and can drive high-capacitive loads.

The REC15E-Z series covers a wide temperature range from -40 to +75°C without derating. The converters are fully certified to industrial EMC and safety standards and come with a three-year warranty.
