Compact AC/DC open frame supplies suit medical use
GlobTek has introduced a 2x3x1" 60W universal input regulated switch mode AC-DC open frame power supply for ITE, medical and household applications. The GTM43007, optimised to work with GlobTek's battery packs and other auxiliary power products, represents GlobTek’s entry into compact, open frame, ruggedised power converters, adding to its existing line of wall plug-in and desktop open-frame power supplies and chargers.
The GTM43007 features a universal 90-264VAC, 50-60Hz, 1.5A input range, with output voltages including 5, 9, 15, 24, 36 and 48V. The system provides full power output without a fan, and 50°C ambient operation without derating. Leakage current is below 100μA at 240VAC.
In addition to double insulation and level 5 efficiency, the supplies provide just 1% or 150mV (whichever is greater) of noise and operate in 0-90% humidity. A zener clamp across the output provides overvoltage protection, input line dual fusing offers input protection, and short circuit protection is also included, with the unit recovering upon fault removal.
The supplies are designed to meet cRUus UL Recognised Component 3rd Edition w-RM ANSI-AAMI ES60601-1 (2005 + C1:09 + A2:10) and CAN-CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1 (2008) 3rd edition specifications, as well as UL60950-1, cULus to UL 60950-1, 2nd Edition, 2007-03-27 and CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1-07, 2nd Edition, 2007-03.
Up to 36V, the devices meet EN 60335-1 (Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances, Part 1: General Requirements). RoHS and EN 60601-1-2:2007 compliance is assured, the devices can operate up to 5,000m above sea level and the MTBF is 200,000 hours at 25°C.
