Fanless 40 W power supply for medical and industrial use

With the introduction of the new BEO-0400M, Bicker Elektronik, Donauwörth, extends its successful BEO series of power supplies in the lower performance range up to 40 watts. The nine different models of the BEO-0400M are available with output voltages from +3,3V to +48V.

They are characterized by a high efficiency factor of up to 88% and a very low standby power consumption of less than 0.5 watts. The BEO-0400M provides its full power of 40 watts without active cooling up to an ambient temperature of +50°C.

Due to a very compact and flat design the power supply has a footprint of only 2“ x 3“ (50,8 x 76,2 mm) and 19 mm overall height. The BEO-0400M meets the current medical safety requirements (IEC/EN60601-1 3rd edition, UL60601-1) as well as the IEC/EN/UL60950-1 industry standard and is therefore suitable for installation in fanless, compact systems for medical and industrial use.

Thanks to its broad range input of 90 to 264VAC the BEO-0400M is globally usable and is by default provided with an active power factor correction (PFC). An extremely high quality of the installed parts and an excellent circuit design ensure a high level of reliability in 24/7 continuous operation and a very long service life. This is further supported by a high MTBF of 200.000 hours according to MIL-HDBK-217F at +25°C.

A short-circuit protection with shut-down and automatic restart as well as an overvoltage protection with shut-down guarantee even more operational safety of the BEO-0400M. Bicker Elektronik provides three years warranty for the long-term available BEO-0400M.
