Measuring and Managing Power

Austin Hughes Electronics latest range of InfraPower PDU solutions is focused on energy efficiency and driving down costs by measurement of power consumption and subsequent management. This unique range of power management products provides managers and administrators options of metered, monitored or switched and monitored PDU strips.

The Metered PDU strips feature an easy to read field replaceable digital ammeter measuring the power on individual strips and the monitored PDU strips feature remote access via a browser. The switched and monitored PDUs can be managed remotely via serial or IP at individual socket level. IP access on the first InfraPower PDU strip uses an IP hot pluggable dongle with a simple secure GUI (Graphic User Interface) management interface. The web based GUI software allows the user to see real time data and provides remote control and monitoring of over a TCP/IP Ethernet network. The serial option is the lowest cost management tool and this allows local monitoring and control of the PDU network using the same GUI software. InfraPower PDU solutions are designed to support daisy chain connections allowing up to 320 outlets cascaded via Cat 6 cable that can be managed using a single IP address.

All PDUs are manufactured from high quality black aluminium extrusion and are available in 12, 16 and 20 outlets in Nema, UK, C13, or C13 + C19. Matching power plugs on a 3 metre lead include Nema 20 and 30 Amp, IEC 16 Amp, 20 Amp Open end and 16 and 32 Amp 60309.
