Pulse Frequency Modulation DC-DC converter from APEC

Advanced Power Electronics has today announced the introduction of a new Pulse Frequency Modulation DC/DC converter with a low quiescent current of around 30µA and shutdown current less than 1uA. Featuring a wide input voltage range from 1.2V to 12V, the APE1910-HF-3 is available in a small RoHS/REACH-compliant halogen-free SOT-23-5 package.

The APE1910-HF-3 features a switching current limit (typ) of 350mA, a high output voltage of up to 34V. Using a PFM design, the product provides high efficiency across a broad range of load.

Ralph Waggitt, President/CEO, Advanced Power Electronics, comments: “With a small package size and requiring only a small number of external components, the APE1910-HF-3 offers a low cost and space saving solution for step-up voltage conversion.”

Key features:

  • Switching Current Limit (typ.) of 350mA,
  • Low Saturation Voltage: 200mV (typ.) at 300mA,
  • Low Quiescent Current: 17uA (typ.),
  • High Output Voltage: up to 34V,
  • Input Voltage: 1.2V to 12V,
  • RoHS-compliant, halogen-free SOT-23-5.
