The new three-phase string inverters are available at power outputs of 10 kVA, 12.5 kVA and 15 kVA. The transformer-less design yields a maximum efficiency rate of 98% and an EU efficiency rate exceeding 97% with a maximum input voltage of 1000 V. Two MPP trackers are used in the 10 kVA units and three in the 12.5 and 15 kVA units; each tracker optimizes the inverter operating point for a 250-to-800 V connected string.
Preset grid codes
Equipped with eight pre-installed languages and preset grid codes for 17 countries, the units can be used throughout most of Europe. They are designed with a broad range of functions to stabilize the grid including power level adjustment, controlled reactive power input and a fault-ride-through function.
“The high efficiency rate of 98% and the use of up to three MPP trackers with input voltage up to 1000 V ensure top yields, especially for rooftop installations with shading effects,“ says Udo Littmann, Business Director String Inverters of AEG Power Solutions. “.“What is more, the units weigh a mere 35 kg, unrivalled in the industry.”
Easy option
The unique AEG PS “easy” option greatly simplifies installation and commissioning. The feature consists in an integrated web server for easy parameter setting and monitoring via a standard web browser on the connected PC. The PC communicates with only one string inverter to be selected and called the “master” which adjusts all settings for the entire installation. Automatically these settings are replicated to up to 99 further string inverters called “followers.”
The introduction of the three-phase string inverters with individual MPP tracking means that the renowned high efficiency and high reliability of AEG Power Solutions’ technology is now available for rooftop solar installations. These new premium performance three-phase inverters complete the high-efficiency solar inverters range offered by AEG Power Solutions. . AEG Power Solutions’ largest solar inverters, Protect PV 250 and 500, set the industry standard for large systems and are widely used in multi-MW utility-scale solar installations.
