650W ATX PC power supply is medically approved

Equipped with a built-in 24V battery charger, the TMPC-650U medically approved 650W ATX PC power supply has been introduced by TRUMPower. A single 24 or two 12V lead-acid batteries in series can be connected to the TMPC-650U to be used as an interruptible power source without affecting the overall maximum output power of 650W.

The battery charger in conjunction with a built-in DC/DC converter ensures that all connected equipment will receive a stable supply of power with the correct corresponding voltage in case of a blackout or temporary power loss.

The TMPC-650U comes with DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3V/24A, +5V/24A, quadruple +12V/16A, -12V/0.5A, and +5Vsb/3A for standby purposes. The maximum total output power is 650W, with the combined output of +3.3V and +5V limited to 150W. The total output current for +12V1, +12V2, +12V3 and +12V4 is 50A maximum. The power supply comes with a standard output cableset, which includes the 24 pin ATX motherboard, PCI-E, 4 pin Molex, and SATA power connectors, etc that is suitable for most PC-related applications. Alternatively, a custom cableset can be ordered as well.

With the earth leakage current being 300µA (maximum at 264V AC, 63Hz), the TMPC-650U is approved to the 3rd edition of UL 60601-1, ES60601-1 and CSA 60601-1:2008 medical standards and complies with IEC/EN 60601-1-2 EMC & immunity standards. The power supply also conforms to EN 55011, FCC and VCCI class B conducted and class A radiated emissions EMC/EMI standards. In addition, the power supply complies with RoHS requirements and IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition safety standards. MTBF of the unit at full load is higher than 194,206 hours minimum at 25°C ambient, calculated per Bellcore/Telcordia SR-332.

The power supply has a 90-264V AC universal input with active PFC, which meets EN 61000-3-2 standards. Alternatively, it can operate at 24V DC input. The TMPC-650U also features a USB 2.0 interface for communication between the power supply and the back-up battery via a power management program running on the PC system. Additional key attributes include overvoltage and overcurrent protection on all outputs, low ripple and noise, and 0 to +70ºC operating temperature with no derating required below +40ºC.

Units are available from stock to 8 weeks ARO.
