The converters address industrial, medical and telecom applications, where they can be used as open frame units for convection cooling, with baseplates for conduction-cooled applications or fully encapsulated for use in harsh environments. Control and protection features include remote sense, -20% to +10% voltage trim, input under-voltage and output over-voltage protection, over-current protection and thermal shutdown.
Encapsulated versions feature reinforced-grade isolation and other models have basic-grade isolation of 2250VDC between input and output.
Nu Horizons also now offers SynQor 150W converters in quarter brick format with either 72V or 110V input for railway and transportation applications.
All the above modules feature efficiency up to 91% through the use of synchronous rectification, an operating temperature range of -40 to +100 degrees C, and calculated MTBFs of over 2 million hours. All are RoHS compliant.
