Absopulse Electronics’ PHI 3K Series modular, industrial grade ac/dc switching power supplies generate up to 3kW output power. They employ field proven design topology, which includes power factor corrected input, to convert a 400Vac input (340V to 480Vac operating range) to 200Vdc/15A or 400Vdc/7A continuous output, with fan cooling. A built-in redundancy diode separates the internal modules and allows for a number of units to be connected in parallel to achieve higher output power, N+1 redundancy or to create a 3-phase high power system. The output redundancy diode also makes the unit suitable for battery charging applications. An output fail alarm, as well as other input/output values are available on request.
The power factor is corrected to a minimum of 0.97 at full load for the entire input range in compliance with the EN6100-3-2 directive for low input harmonic distortion. The series is ruggedized for immunity to shock and vibration (EN61373/IEC61373 compliant); conformal coating ensures protection from moisture, humidity, airborne contaminants and high voltage. Other protection features include input to output isolation of 4300Vdc, input/output to chassis of 2250Vdc and 5600Vdc type testing, continuous current limiting with short-circuit protection (no hiccup) and thermal protection by built in self-resetting thermostat.
