3-phase delta power line filter suits high power applications

Astrodyne TDI now offers a compact dual-stage, 3-phase Delta power line filter series for high power 3-phase applications that require high insertion loss performance. The RP330 series is suitable for use with high power inverters, industrial drives and controllers as well frequency converters, industrial machine tools, industrial power supplies and other chassis-mounted systems.

Anand Awasthi, product manager, Astrodyne TDI’s EMI filters, said, “Three-phase variable frequency drives (VFD) and inverter-based systems will benefit from the high insertion loss performance provided by the dual-stage RP330 series, helping them meet the most challenging EMC situations.”

These new high performing dual-stage filters are available in current ratings up to 250A and offer the smallest footprint in the industry. Astrodyne TDI’s RP330 family of filters are rated at 480VAC at 50/60/400Hz. The series’ wide range of line-to-ground (Y) capacitance values allow for a variety of configurations enabling customers to get better performance from the same package.

The RP330 series is available with threaded stud-type terminals as well as touch-proof screw terminals providing safe connections. Other options, including wire leads and customised solutions are available upon request. The entire series is UL, CSA and IEC/EN approved. Astrodyne TDI’s UL and IEC Client Data Acceptance Program ensures unparalleled time-to-market advantages to customers seeking agency approved customised solutions.
