Building upon the previous three generations of products, Magna-Power Electronics’ robust current-fed power processing is addressing new markets with the new high voltage models. Utilising the same high frequency IGBT-based switch-mode topology as the other XR Series models, the new models are ideal for applications such as ion beam deposition, photovoltaic manufacturing, ion implantation, capacitor charging, ATE systems, powering specialised lasers and insulator testing, among a wide variety of OEM and laboratory applications.
All models are supplied with front panel controls, a RS232 computer programming interface, and a 37-pin isolated analog-digital I/O for comprehensive remote capability, as standard. Enabling programming from a variety of environments including LabVIEW and Visual Studio, Remote Interface Software and Magna-Power Electronics’ IVI Driver are provided for computer communications.
Operating from 208 Vac up to 480 Vac, the XR Series units are available with 3-phase input. With a 1-phase 208/240 input option is available for 2 kW models, communication options include LXI TCP/IP Ethernet Interface (+LXI), IEEE-488 GPIB Interface (+GPIB), and USB Edgeport (+USB). The product’s advanced programming capabilities are significantly simplified through the use of an SCPI command set.
Manufactured at the company’s headquarters in New Jersey, USA, the new XR series devices are available for order immediately. At the time of ordering, customers can specify units with either the positive or negative output terminal grounded.
