The 150W LPS103, built by Emerson Network Power, delivers maximum power with 30CFM cooling and measures 5.1cm x 10.2cm x 3.3cm (4 x 2 x 1.29) to achieve 0.9W/cm3 power density. For applications requiring higher output power, the LPS203 delivers up to 250W in a 7.62cm x 12.7cm x 3.3cm (5 x 3 x 1.29) form factor equating to 0.8W/cm3. Both power supplies achieve 88% typical full-load efficiency.
The units are suitable for use in light industrial devices, information technology equipment, and medical instruments such as dental or laboratory equipment. Common features include active power-factor correction, typical power factor 0.99, a power-fail signal activated 6ms before the main output loses regulation, and operation from 0°C to +50°C without derating. The PSUs can also perform cold starts at temperatures down to –20°C.
The main output is adjustable from 10.8V to 13.2V, and there is also an isolated 12V/1A fan output. Each power supply has maximum safety-ground leakage current of 275μA, and the main output has a hold-up time of 16ms minimum when the supply is fed with a 120V AC input and is delivering its full rated output power.
