PFC & EMC Chokes from Almag Go Up To 60 Amps

Almag have introduced their Type WK Hi-Frequency range of toroidal storage, PFC and differential suppression chokes, with types going up to 60 amps rating. Applications include active PFC correction, power supply output chokes, lighting, motor drives, ballasts and general EMC filtering. With 169 inductor designs in 13 package sizes, the inductors offer current ratings from 0.75A up to 60A, with inductances up to 4.8mH.

In many applications, these chokes can be used to give significant size and weight reductions compared with E-core ferrite designs.

The added option of vertically mounting many types on standard pinned bases means that board plan area can be minimised at the same time.
