As a privately owned company since 1948, WIMA is producing film capacitors exclusively in Germany.

As specialists, its goal is to achieve customer satisfaction in terms of quality, innovation, and service. Following the principle that the quality of a product must be manufactured and cannot be tested into a product, WIMA capacitors are manufactured on ultra-modern production lines with a high degree of automation and meet the high standards of today's environmental requirements in terms of energy and raw material consumption.

Its product range includes capacitors with PET, PEN, PP and PPS dielectric in SMD and through-hole versions. Some highlights from the product range are:

-          Metallised SMD capacitors in size codes 1812 to 6054

-          The smallest film capacitors available on the market in PCM 2.5mm

-          Self-healing pulse capacitors with rated voltages up to 6kV

-          Approved RFI capacitors of classes X1, X2 and Y2

-          Snubber capacitors with a variety of tab configurations

-          DC-Link capacitors with rectangular or cylindrical housings

-          PowerBlock SuperCap modules with very high capacitances.

In addition, it manufactures customised capacitors according to user specifications on request.
