KOA Speer Electronics has today revealed the enhancement of the TLRH3AW metal plate chip current sense resistor. The TLRH3AW current sense resistor now features an extended resistance range of 10mΩ - 270mΩ with greater corrosion protection and higher temperature resistance up to +170°C. Allowing for a 2 Watt power rating in a 2512 package size, the TLRH3AW current sense resistor features metal foil technology.

The TLRH3AW features performance characteristics including a TCR of ±75 ppm in 10mΩ - 22mΩ and ±50ppm in 24mΩ - 270mΩ, in a 1% resistance tolerance.

Resistant to extreme temperatures, the TLRH3AW also provides resistance to thermal and mechanical shock, moisture and vibration. In addition, this ultra-low profile resistor offers a thickness as low as 0.5mm.

KOA Speer's TLRH metal plate chip current sense resistor series also offers power ratings of 0.25W (0805 size) and 1W (2010 size). The TLRH series is AEC-Q200 qualified and available with lead-free terminations to meet EU RoHS requirements.

Used primarily for current detection, TLRH3AW current sense resistors are ideal for applications within the telecommunications and consumer electronics markets, specifically for applications such as inverters, power supplies, computing devices, tablets and motor controls. Lead time is 15 weeks, with samples available upon request.

TLRH3AW key features:

  • SMD Type of small size, low resistance resistor for current detection,
  • Carrier metal plate inside, resistor of high radiation of heat structure,
  • High reliability and performance with low T.C.R.,
  • Automatic mounting machines are applicable,
  • Body colour: Black protective top coating with 4 digit marking,
  • Products with lead-free terminations meet EU RoHS requirements,
  • AEC-Q200 qualified.
