Lorlin Electronics has announced the SRLM mains voltage lock switch. Manufactured in the UK the SRLM is a rugged, RoHS compliant key operated switch for applications where security and reliability are paramount.
The SRLM lock switch can handle currents between 4 to 80A at 250VAC over an operating life of >10,000 cycles. Suitable for harsh environments the switch has an operating temperature range of –25 to +85°C, is flame retardant to UL94 V0 and has silver cadmium oxide switch contacts. The lock housing is zinc alloy, bright chrome plated and parallel or tapered sided lock heads are available to assist with mounting panel design.

Connection is made via plated brass solder terminals or using optional PCB terminals and two switching options are available, 2-pole off/on (normally open) or 2-pole on/off (normally closed). With a 3mm contact gap the snap-on switch mechanism provides mains safety isolation.

Up to 200 unique key combinations are possible as well as a “all to pass key” which fits all locks and may be used by system supervisors or service engineers, the key may be withdrawn in both the locked and unlocked switch positions. The lock is a five-disc design with a 90° movement.

Dan Walker, Sales manager at Lorlin Electronics comments, “Lockable switches are an important part of our business and the SRLM key operated lock offers our customers both security for their systems, high reliability and a long operating life. This is particularly important for security systems and equipment located in remote locations”.

Typical applications for the Lorlin SRLM mains lock switch include, factory equipment, security systems, instrumentation and electrical control panels.
