The HPBA series braking resistor assemblies from TE Connectivity are designed to increase the braking torque capability of a variable frequency drive.

This produces faster and more controlled braking for the drive and increases the braking torque of the drive system.

Each braking assembly is created using heavy gauge galvanised steel with a wired terminal block, as well as provisions for an optional thermostat.

These assemblies are constructed for harsh environments while maintaining a professional design with a wide range of enclosures available.

These resistors are offered in several combinations of horsepower, input voltages, and duty cycles to ensure multiple options are available for braking drives.

Benefits include availability of 24 enclosure options and five duty cycles and three drive input voltage designs.

They are rated to +375°C max-rated duty cycle

Applications include variable frequency drives, servo motors and drives, industrial, warehouse automation and robotics.
