Low-Profile Thermal Fuses

PEPI’s latest addition to its range of one-shot bimetal thermal fuses is the PEPI H1 series. Designed to have an ultra-low profile whilst capable of switching 8A/240VAC (or 8A/24VDC), the model H1 offers superior ultimate temperature protection compared with organic or solder-based thermal fuses. Conventional thermal fuses suffer from thermal aging if used close to their trip point, this can lead to premature failure or “nuisance tripping”.

The PEPI H1 is available with set-points from 160°C to 240°C and when the contacts open due to an over-temperature condition, they will not close again in ambients even as low as -35°C.

The H1 is presently c-UL approved, other approvals are being applied for.
