NEC Electronics introduces a new family of High Speed Optocouplers coming in a new white DIP package that provides enhanced isolation and shielding characteristics: 5000 Vrms isolation voltage; >0.4mm internal isolation distance; >8mm outer creepage distance; Minimum CMR of 15KV/µs.
The new PS85/95 optocoupler series are issued in different outlines addressing multiple industrial applications that require a high grade of isolation: The PS85xx-series are 1Mbit/s speed analogue output type optocouplers with high output voltage of 35V (max). The PS9587-series is a digital IC optocoupler with open collector output. With a maximum propagation delay time (tPLH , tPHL) of 75ns and a pulse width distortion (PWD) as low as 10ns it enables the transfer of data at 10 Mbit/s speed. The PS9587 series is ideally suitable for industrial high speed communication lines that require a high level of isolation.

Especially dedicated to motor drive applications, NEC Electronics has developed the PS9513 and PS9552-series for IPM and IGBT drives respectively.
The PS9513-series is offering 1Mbit/s speed and 35V output voltage and is suitable for IPM drives and general purpose inverter. With the PS9552-series NEC Electronics has released it’s first type of optocouplers for IGBT gate drives. It provides up to 2.5A output current, has a wide range of Vcc from 15V to 30Vand operating temperatures from -40 to +100degC. It is suitable to drive IGBT and MOSFET gates.

The new PS85/95 series optocouplers are available in different lead bending options either for through hole or surface mount. The new parts fully comply to RoHS using Nickel-Palladium-Gold as leadfree pin-plating material. Common International Safety Certificates such as UL and DIN EN60747-5-2 are available.
