Bourns, Inc. unveiled its 5.0SMDJ Series Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) Diodes. Available in a space-saving, compact DO-214AB package, the new series is designed to provide effective Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection for portable communications, computing, and video equipment applications.
The Bourns 5.0SMDJ Series includes 13 unidirectional models and eight bi-directional models.
Offering high performance energy absorption and clamping capabilities, these new TVS diodes enable designers to select from a broad working peak reverse voltage range from 12 to 30V. The 5.0SMDJ Series also features peak pulse power of 5,000 watts and breakdown voltage up to 36.8V with typical fast response times of less than 1 nanosecond to clamping after breakdown initiation. The series has also been tested to JEDEC standards.
The Bourns 5.0SMDJ Series TVS Diode is available now through Bourns’ authorised distribution partners and is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
