Wilson Process Systems (WPS), the leading contract manufacturer, will position itself as the high volume, accurate and flexible EMS provider for customers with large array LED boards targeting signage and lighting applications.
/> The company has invested significantly and its capabilities now include high speed, high accuracy Universal component placement lines for SMD assembly as well as through- hole assembly equipment that enables radial LEDs to be mounted at any angle on the board, offering great flexibility to LED system designers.

WPS has significant contracts with UK manufacturers of traffic lights, motorway and roadside signage, handling in excess of 20 million LEDS per year. Its lines can easily handle over 150,000 SMD component placements per hour and more than 30,000 traditional through hole components per hour.

“We are excited to be returning to EuroLED 2010 after a successful show last year”, commented WPS’ Sales Director, Nick Jones: “We have experience in placing all types of surface mount LED packages including high power/high brightness devices onto a variety of PCB substrates. We have full test and burn-in facilities to complement our assembly lines, and our technical staff are pleased to assist in the design stage of any new product to ensure that it is optimised for manufacturing to keep costs to a minimum.”
