The SUR series of APD photodiodes are based on a silicon reach-through structure with high sensitivity in the UV and deep UV regions. This is achieved using an ultra-thin highly doped top layer that extends the sensitivity down to 260nm. Additionally, this production method results in excellent noise and sensitivity performance across the whole wavelength range. Typical applications for these devices are in the medical and bio-medical fields. For improved stability, we can also offer these detectors with either single or dual-stage thermoelectric cooling.
An important additional advantage of the new reach-through APD is its noise and sensitivity performance over the widest commercially available wavelength range, from 255nm to 1000nm.
