The EyeCheck 7xxx series by EVT has been announced, including a free FPGA. The EyeCheck 7800 smart camera has not only a Dual Core processor and an 85K FPGA but also a 4.2MP CMOS sensor. In combination with the EyeVision 3.0 software it is possible to capture extremely small objects at very high speed. Thanks to the FPGA, image capture and evaluation can be realised in real time.

Additionally the FPGA can be programmed with graphical tools. This is all in line with the EyeVision image processing software, which is also graphically programmable. The easy-to-handle drag-and-drop programming makes it easy to create inspection programs, even without programming skills.

The EyeCheck 7xxx series runs with Linux OS and has GigE, RS232 and RS485 interfaces as well as digital I/Os. The smart cameras are especially useful for applications with little space available and can be integrated easily into existing plants. The camera are suitable for WEB inspection or also pattern matching, fast measurement technology and object counting.
