Small laser module suitable for use in steel production

LASER COMPONENTS is striving to miniaturise its Machine Vision laser modules for use in hand-held applications, as well as systems where space is at a premium. One example is the MVpico, the companies smallest laser module only ø8x40mm in size. Further effort to minimise our modules’ footprint in customers’ systems are expected to be introduced to the consumer market through 2016.

In parallel with our ambition to enable hand-held Machine Vision systems, LASER COMPONENTS is also continually increasing available wavelengths and optical powers for use in industries such as steel production and aeronautic inspection.

For customers who need a strobing effect from their laser, the company now have the technology to allow the module to self-pulse without input or be connected to complex camera systems with ease. Customers who wish to include a laser in their camera system often take advantage of these options to simplify their Machine Vision setup.
