Combining efficacy with affordability, MaxLite has introduced its 8" ECO Series of LED recessed retrofit downlights as an energy-efficient replacement for fluorescent, incandescent and HID lighting in architectural and commercial applications. The LED downlight retrofit delivers up to 2200lm while consuming just 25W of input power, equating to an impressive output of 80lm/W.

The product is supplied with a driver capable of accepting input voltages of 120-277V without any adjustment, and offers out-of-the-box dimming compatibility for all input voltages using 0-10V controls. To help facilitate utility rebates, the ECO Series is qualified by ENERGY STAR and supports compliance with California’s Title 24 requirements for energy efficiency. The retrofitting process takes just five minutes, on average, to complete.

The ECO Series downlight retrofit is constructed of an aluminium reflector with a haze finish that ensures glare-free and even illumination. The reflector, LED module and trim are integrated into a one-piece design that is quick and easy to install into existing recessed frames. For frames missing adequate friction springs, retaining clips are supplied to secure the reflector. The fixture’s power supply features integral thermal protection for safe, reliable operation.

The 8" retrofit is inventoried in 3000K and 4000K correlated colour temperatures and available in custom options such as 2700K and 5000K. The product is cULus classified for damp locations such as building eaves and overhangs.

The ECO Series is the latest addition to MaxLite’s complete line of ENERGY STAR qualified LED downlights and retrofits for architectural, commercial and residential installations.

“Our ECO Series retrofit downlight combines low up-front cost, minimal labor, best-in-class energy efficiency, and architectural-quality light to deliver exceptional value to customers,” noted Ken Charton, Product Manager, MaxLite.
