Platform improves optical fibre amplifiers

LEA photonics has introduced a F200 platform for their optical fibre amplifiers. The new platform combines the advantages of an OEM module, being compact and robust, with the easy to use front panel interface of a benchtop. The new platform measures only 270 x 190 x 90mm, making it ideal to fit on a table, and weighs only 2.1kg, so it is easy to carry. The amplifier within the F200 platform can be addressed directly, via a user friendly front panel interface, or remotely via a built Ethernet to RS232 converter port.

The F200 platform is available as an option on a large range of LEA photonics models of optical amplifier, including random and polarisation maintaining versions, delivering optical output powers up to 23dBm.
