The second product to be introduced in Opto Diode’s high output light-emitting diode series has a dominant emission wavelength of 624nm (typical) and a peak wavelength of 635nm with a spectral bandwidth of 40nm.
The OD-624L uses the latest high efficiency LED chip technology and has a typical output at 170mW at 350mA.
The OD-624L uses a hermetically sealed TO-5 package with a high performance lens giving a beam angle of only 7° FWHM, resulting in a very high Radiant Intensity of 700mW/sr at 350mA with a maximum DC rating of 500mA. Under pulsed conditions the OD-624L can be pulsed at 2-3A peak, depending upon the pulse length and duty cycle.
Typical applications for the OD-624L are fluorescence and bio-luminescence stimulation in medical, systems, scientific testing instruments, and forensic equipment.
