Optical wavelength splitter eliminates DWDM power meters

TEMPO’s recently launched optical wavelength splitters allow a standard powermeter (OPM) to be able to measure signal levels in WDM networks. The wavelength splitter OWS200 splits multiplexed wavelengths found in NGPON2 networks (Next Generation Passive Optical Networks) also known as TWDM-PON.

This allows specific wavelengths to be measured with a conventional optical power-meter. Configurable for two, four and eight wavelengths and has low return loss to protect network disruption.
