New Energy has announced the addition of the New Energy LEDiL Optics Kit (NELOK) to its product portfolio, available immediately.

The NELOK, consists of a single LED mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) and attached to a heatsink. The PCB is manufactured with a series of precisely placed holes that correspond to the mounting pins of all the members of LEDiL’s single-lens products. When aligned pins-to-holes, this assembly guarantees the proper alignment of the lens to the LED for maximal optical efficiency. Accompanying the LED/PCB/heatsink are 15 lenses, three each from five lens families. Users of this kit will be able to explore the many secondary optical distributions available to them through LEDiLs precision moulded lens assemblies. These kits are available now and can be customised to particular LED needs.

“The LEDiL optics kit allows lighting professionals, product designers, and lighting enthusiasts to explore single lens solutions all in one kit,” reflected Russell Shaver, President of New Energy. “Version one of the kit features a CREE LED XP-G3 S-Line at 4000K CCT, 70 CRI, and LEDiL lenses from the TINA, TINA2, LEILA, G2-LXP2 and LISA3 product families. Our goal is to provide custom configurations that simplify the selection of the perfect optic and LED combination for an ideal product solution.”

Lauri Haarala, Technical Sales Manager, North America for LEDiL comments, “We believe this new optics kit will streamline the lighting OEM’s product development process significantly. The kit arrives with a good selection of optics for rapid testing, but is also compatible with hundreds of additional LEDiL off the shelf products. This will allow customers to evaluate optical performance and visual quality, without spending valuable time building multiple prototypes. We hope this kit will become the go-to first step for our customers when they start specifying the types of optics and optical patterns they wish to incorporate into their new product lines.”
