A premium area lighting fixture that delivers what is supposedly unprecedented modularity and functionality for the specification market has been introduced by MaxLite - QuadroMAX Plus. Designed to replace metal halide fixtures from 150-750W, the series meets DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Premium 4.2 specifications and qualifies for the highest level of utility rebate incentives.

Building on the high-performance features associated with the original QuadroMAX, the Plus fixture provides customers with the option of changing modules in the field and mixing distributions to create custom lighting layouts for commercial, educational, retail, health care and many other types of properties. Independent LED modules interlock to create configurations from 5,600 to 39,500 lumens, while multiple optic choices (Type II, III, IV and V) enable the most effective distribution pattern to be selected for any exterior lighting application. In addition, the head module containing the driver disconnects from the luminaire for quick and efficient product maintenance.

QuadroMAX Plus can be mounted as an area, flood or wall pack luminaire. In every wattage and distribution configuration, QuadroMAX Plus achieves efficacy of 130 lumens per watt and lumen maintenance that exceeds 100,000 hours at L90 standards. QuadroMAX Plus is issued with MaxLite’s ten year warranty.

“With QuadroMAX Plus, we’ve taken customisation in outdoor lighting to new heights,” said Director of Outdoor Product Management Eric Fournier. “QuadroMAX Plus offers a wide range of lumen packages, distributions and ease of installation and maintenance that few solutions on the market can match.”

QuadroMAX Plus is available with 120-277V or 347-480V dimming drivers, and includes a 20kV surge suppressor to help protect the driver during power surges. Each luminaire can also be customised to order to include a motion sensor with remote control commissioning capability and photocontrol receptacle (NEMA 3-, 5- or 7-pin). MaxLite offers QuadroMAX Plus in a standard satin bronze finish; silver, black and white finishes are available by custom order. QuadroMAX Plus may be assembled to order in the United States to comply with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
