The AP1695 uses a patented constant on-time control technique to enable deep triac dimming down to 1% and an increase in lamp/triac compatibility for 120 and 230V mains-dimmable retrofit LED lamps, including common 5W GU10 and 8W energy-saver bulbs.
Maintaining a power factor higher than 0.9 and a THD rating of less than 30%, the driver’s boundary-conduction mode ensures higher efficiency and enhanced EMI performance. Removing the need for opto-couplers, secondary-side control and loop-compensation circuitry, the AP1695 operates on the primary side without compromising application stability.
Compliant with IEC6100-3-2 harmonic standard requirements, the driver provides over-voltage, short-circuit and over-temperature protection features. Its dimming curve complies with the NEMA SSL6 standard.
Supplied in a space-saving SO-7 package, the AP1695 triac dimmable LED lamp driver is available now for $0.45 each in 10,000 unit quantities.
