Laser Components acquires distribution rights from Coherent Solutions

LASER COMPONENTS has announced new distribution rights to products from Coherent Solutions for pulse measurement and modular test and measurement equipment. The modular test platform provides a cost effective, scalable and flexible solution,suitable for both production and R&D environments. Each function required for anoptical test, for example tuneable lasers, VOA, and detector, comes on a separate‚ Blade‘. Blades are fitted into a chassis and controlled by the same software interface.

Optical pulse analysis is performed by the IQFrog. Based on the principle of frequency-resolved optical gating (spectrally resolved SHG autocorrelator), the IQFROG can be used to measure the intensity and phase of laser pulses in both spectral and temporal domains, to provide a complete pulse characterisation.
