Hamamatsu Photonics launches the UVTRON for enhanced safety detection

Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the latest addition to its UVTRON series with the launch of the C16956-02 UVTRON module.

Designed specifically for ultraviolet (UV) detection, this new module aims to increase efficiency and reliability in critical applications such as flame sensing and electric discharge identification.

The C16956-02 module is equipped with a driver circuit and signal processing capabilities that significantly reduce background noise, allowing for more accurate UV detection. This enhanced precision is essential for safety and security measures across a variety of industrial environments, where reliable UV sensing can prevent potential hazards.

One of the features of the C16956-02 is its light-receiving section, which comes with a G1 female thread, making it easy to integrate into existing systems. Users can quickly connect it to a DC voltage supply and begin detecting UV signals without the need for complex configurations, streamlining the setup process. Additionally, the module includes an internal UV-LED that enables users to check its operational status, reflecting Hamamatsu Photonics’ commitment to user-friendly and practical solutions.

Commenting on the new product, Luigi Ghezzi, Technical Marketing Engineer at Hamamatsu Photonics Europe, said: “UV detection plays a crucial role in ensuring safety across various sectors. With the launch of the UVTRON module, we are setting a new standard for reliability and ease of use in UV detection technology.”
