Golden LEDs are sulphur-resistant

A series of sulphur-resistant LEDs has been introduced by EVERLIGHT ELECTRONICS. Featuring a golden lead frame, the A09KU, 67-21U and 67-31U LEDs are suitable for head lamps, DRL, fog lamps, side signal lamps and rear tail lamps.

The company has also released a series of amber LEDs, which provide enhanced brightness in high temperatures. The PC Amber LEDs were manufactured using a three-chip process rather than a four-chip process. This results in a 15% brightness decay at 85°C, rather than the 30-50% experienced by LEDs manufactured using a four-chip process.
