Suitable for controlling 3-in-1 (DC/PWM/Resistor) LED drivers, the GL-DA02 DALI interface converter has been introduced by GlacialLight. As an indoor digital lighting control system, the GL-DA02 converter is well suited for applications such as office buildings, conference rooms, factories and intelligent home lighting.

GlacialLight’s DALI interface converter takes a digital DALI signal and can output either PWM, 0-10V DC or 1-10V DC signals. Compliant with IEC62386 (102, 206), the GL-DA02 converter enables dimming to be set on a linear or logarithmic curve. Featuring a built-in relay, devices down the line can be turned off completely, enabling complete lighting control as well as reducing energy costs. It can switch the driver ON and OFF, providing 0.1-100% duty cycle of PWM signal to the dimmable driver to control the light level according to the DALI commands.

Operating over a temperature range from -20 to +40°C, the single output converter measures 150x40x28mm and weighs just 100g. The GL-DA02 consumes just 1.6W (typical) and provides output channel short protection.

The DALI open standard is recognised as the premier new lighting control interface and is also cross-compatible across lighting components from different manufacturers. Compared to conventional lighting control system, this highly scalable interface simplifies wiring and therefore eases installation and reduces maintenance costs. DALI can monitor lighting as well as controlling it. This enables intelligent lighting systems that maximise service life and save energy. Compared to legacy solutions, a DALI network is more precise and allows fine grain control over the individual components in a complete lighting system.
