COUNT Q provides free-running photon detection

The COUNT Q from LASER COMPONENTS provides everything needed for free-running photon detection from 950-1600nm, and offers a unique combination of high quantum efficiency, wide dynamic range and ease of use for photon counting applications.

These modules combine low noise InGaAs/InP single photon avalanche photodiodes with specially developed quenching and processing electronics to deliver a powerful solution to detecting photons beyond the visible part of the spectrum.

Demonstrating a typical timing rsolution of 350ps, the COUNT Q has very low afterpulsing probability and dead-times in the range of 0.1-5µs, perfect for applications in quantum optics/cryptography, characterisation of fibre optics, Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC), florescence life time spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
