Bridging the gap



Bridging the gap between design and manufacture, CIL offers the total solution in the field LED and optoelectronics from product design to full-scale manufacture and test over extensive test platforms. A tried and tested solutions provider, CIL offers a highly effective balance of design, manufacture and product testing and has available a team of specialist design and application engineers experienced in the theoretical modelling of LED applications and their respective operational criteria and thermal performance. The CIL team has the manufacturing skill and experience to ensure that the final product meets the theoretical models.



New LED products



New LED products on display include the CoolLED pE-100 that is designed to be used with fluorescence microscopes and provides an intense, stable light source at a single user-defined wavelength from a choice of 20 wavelengths. Also on show will be the pC-100 excitation source that again offers intense, stable excitation at a single selected wavelength but is designed to be used in many industrial UV curing applications. Both systems were developed to provide an economical LED source that does not have the inherent problems associated with the use, storage and disposal of mercury-based light sources.



Mindstorm



CIL has also demonstrated its proven track record in LED design and manufacture to produce a bespoke, high power, infra-red light-source for Mindstorm Technology, a company that is at the forefront of innovative, multi-touch, interactive display technology. At the show will be iBar®, a multi-touch, interactive platform from Mindstorm that can bring any surface to life from an exhibition stand or hotel reception desk to a bar counter or retail point-of-sale.



World class facility



At its Andover, Hampshire, factory CIL provides an extensive early model and total product manufacturing capability offering: die bond and wire-bonding LED and other silicon based products, automatic gold and aluminium wire bonding and full surface mount and conventional electronics assembly. Comprehensive test and verification platforms include: 3-D mechanical inspection, digital X-ray and electronics stress screening.
