Michael Gibbons, Director, Sales and Marketing, Point Grey, commented: “We’re excited to expand our Blackfly camera line-up by introducing a new Sharp CCD to our image sensor portfolio. Sharp has been a longtime CCD sensor manufacturer in the security industry, which requires image capture with high visibility regardless of day and night. The combination of improved imaging performance over existing 5.0MP CCD sensors, high resolution and very competitive price, makes this new sensor ideal for industrial applications such as factory automation, inspection and 3D scanning.”
