Aligned laser modules at lower cost

Still trying to push for high quality laser sources at low prices is the UK photonic industry. Adressing this situation, LASER COMPONENTS have released a low cost laser module which can operate in high temperatures and produce a small laser spot which is aligned with the mechanical axis of the housing.

The LC-LMD-650-01-T60-AX is similar to the standard LC-LMD series in the terms of its 1mW optical power and 3.3VDC operating voltage.  This specific low cost laser module stands out from the crowd as with the low cost it can also deliver a laser which can operate in temperatures up to 60°C which is aligned within a tolerance of less than 0.1° of the modules mechanical axis. The laser is delivered with 50mm trailing leads removing the need to solder pins or additional wiring to the back of the module.

Common applications include pointing, positioning, and basic alignment tasks where a small module which requires a compact power supply is required.
